Terry's Dairy was on Wigmore Road, Wigmore, Gillingham adjacent to Holmwood. The dairy was sold to United Dairies which later became Unigate.

The site has now been developed for housing.

One of my relatives (Frank Terry) was a milkman in 1939. Is it likely he worked for the Terry dairy (i.e. was the dairy open then?) I would love to connect with anyone who knows more about the Terry family from this area.

Hello Val, my Dad delivered milk for Terrys from 1950 to 1965. For what it's worth he always said that Charles Terry was the best man he ever worked for; and by the way, I've ridden in one of those floats sooooo many times.

Hi Val not sure if this will get to you. My mother was good friends with your grandparents and their daughter Pat. My brother Roger and I were friends with their son Raymond We lived just up the road from the dairy. At first milk was delivered by horse and float, then the electrical floats pictured came about. Would love to hear from you Martin
