These photos were part of a collection passed to me by Tony Carruthers. I've recently also received the original glass plate negatives for them which are very special! The glass plates included views of Rainham as well as other parts of Kent which is where these Teynham photos came from. They date from around 1907-1910 and the images would likely have been postcards originally.

The area was known as Green Street or Lynsted at the time depending on the side of the A2 that the buildings were located.

The photo below shows buildings that are mainly still in existence today. The only one that has been demolished is the Co-op store but a new Co-op is in its place.
