Bredhurst School May Day 150th Anniversary

Bredhurst School is holding their May Day event on Saturday 20th May this year, and the fete is set to be bigger and better than ever before as we are celebrating 150 years of the school. We are inviting all the May Kings and Queens from past years that we can find, as well as hoping to involve all of the local community.

We would like to replicate the May Days from years back by decorating the streets with bunting and covering floats with flowers. It is set to be a very special afternoon!

Attached are some old photos of past May Days,

We are keen for as much media attention as possible so please share this information! We want this year’s May Day to be spectacular. It is such a special event every year, with the road closure and street parade, Crowning of the new May King and Queen, and traditional May Pole dancing by the children too.

Kind regards
