Rainham Station was developed when the railway line was built in the mid 1800s and the first station was built around 1850. It has been redeveloped several times since then, most recently in the early 1990s.

Used to get the train to Chatham everyday 1969 -1976. Remember losing my Fort Pitt bowler down between the platform walls during the re-styling. I preferred the old station. The signal box was manned then too. The current station ..., well I suppose it’s better than the 70s one.
