Quoting David jury:
The picture is definitely not in 1953 it was more like 1956 1957 as I recognise a lot of people there I have pictures of the Cubs run my a Mrs Brown and the school footbaii team of 1958 run by Mr Gorf. Sadly I can't find any pictures of the actual school that was directly behind where lived in Taverners road
- mr Gorf went onto Fairview school.

Quoting George Pickering:
I lived at No.9 The Camp during the period c1947-1954. It was the first barrack block on the left as you went up the access road (now Bettescombe Road) from Maidstone Road. I also attended the Camp School until I then went to Orchard Street School.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but is the George Pickering, half brother of Kathleen Jenner/Goddard?

I attended the Camp school from 1948 until 1955 though, sadly, I don't recognise myself in the photo ( which maybe just one class ).
I remember Mr Rivers, the headteacher and a young female teacher who's name, I think, was Miss Wilson.
